My name is Matt Cronin.

Hello, My name is Matt Cronin and I’m a professional web designer and developer. I got my start way back at age 4, when I first began getting interested in art. After many years as a painter, I discovered digital art as well as web design. I quickly became engaged in the art of web design and web development. I taught myself everything I know, including the web languages of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, MXML, and more. I’ve now been into the web business for about 3 years now. I recently completed a seven month project, prdctlab.com, which I built from the ground up and am now working on launching. When I’m not in front of the computer screen, I enjoy flying, running, skiing, traveling, and long walks on the beach.

I do all kinds of web design and development of all different sizes, including complete dynamic or static website construction, UI design, PHP/MySQL development, Database development, blog design, WordPress development, usability testing, and much more. If you've got a web project of any kind, get in touch and we can start getting your project turned into something real.

My Process

I’m here to work with you to build an amazing website, so I make sure the process is as convenient to you as possible. It’s a quite simple process, and I keep you involved in every single step, to ensure your complete satisfaction. For basic corporate or static HTML/CSS websites, it usually takes a few weeks from start to finish. For any larger projects you may have, such as eCommerce, that will usually take a bit more time due to the dynamic nature of the site.

Step 1: Planning

The process all starts with a plan. You come to me and let me know what you’re looking to build. We’ll discuss to find the best and most efficient solutions that will stick to your budget. Once I understand the details of the project, I’ll provide an estimate for the total cost. If you like what you see, I send a simple contract and we’re in business.

Step 2: Mockups & Design

The first step of the the actual design process is the initial wireframes. I’ll make these up quickly and send them right back to you. If you approve, I move onto the initial mockup. I’ll send you frequent updates to keep you updated on the process and make sure I’m designing to your specs. If you don’t like a mockup, I’ll tweak it until you are completely satisfied.

Step 3: Coding

Once we agree on a design and all of the mockups are approved, I start laying the code foundation. This process usually goes relatively quickly because we already have a complete design set, but time does vary on the size of project and coding requirements.

Step 4: Finalizing, Publishing, and CMS

Soon, you’re site will be ready. All of the files will be complete, and I’ll provide a live preview so you can check it out. If you approve, I will set you up with the publishing tools and content management system to get the operation of the site and content into your hands. I provide a CMS, LightCMS, completely free of charge. This allows you to control every single aspect of content on the site without having to touch a bit of code. After all is said in done, I’ll send you an detailed invoice with the process outlined as well as the charge.

Maybe an Olympic Gold Next?

It's nice to brag sometimes. Here's some recognition I've received for my work.

Well. This is embarrassing.
